Mangalore : Art enthusiast Naina Fernandes inaugurated the annual art exhibition and cultural programme ‘Kalotsava – 2013’ at Mahalasa Art Gallery on March 6, Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, she said that Art is a powerful medium insight. This exhibition is an opportunity for Mangalorean visitors to witness the art exhibition and encourage the Mangalorean artist’s.

The art will help the people to understand the mind of artiste, hence art becomes the life of artists, she added.

She said that further she will help the artistes to sell their art to interior decorators and builders and encourage them.

Tharnath Kairangala, art teacher was the chief guest.

N S Pattar, lecturer, Mahalasa Art School welcomed the gathering. Dr Kedhige Aravind Rao, president of Lions Club presided over the event.

Over hundred arts and portraits done by 80 students of Mahalasa Art School were displayed at the exhibition.
