Udupi: Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) announced that Manipal’s MAHE has achieved 11th rank in the list of India’s top private universities by National Institutional ranking frame work (NIRF).
Chancellor Dr. H. Vinod Bhat spoke at the inaugural function of ‘Silver Utsav – 2018’ at KMC Greens on Tuesday and said. “This times performance is better than all our previous performances. Mahe has come up to rank 11 among all the private universities in India and reached rank 18 from rank 30 in all the private and government universities in India.
Last year MAHE was ranked 18th in the list of private universities in India. I have the faith that in the coming years we will further improve our performance and reach the Top 10 position.”
Manipal KMC has ranked 4th in the country, Mangaluru KMC achieved 16th rank and Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Science (MCPS) received 7th rank. MIT has gone up from 43rd rank to 39th rank. Faculty of Architecture has gained 10th rank.
KMC Dean Dr. Prajnya Rao appreciated this accomplishment and said,” This achievement was possible due to the combined group effort of all the faculty and university administration board. Because of which there is an increase in new research on an international level, adaptation of teaching methods and quality in medical education.”
Dean of KMC Mangaluru Dr. Venkatraya Prabhu said,” KMC Mangaluru has always been known for its good quality medical education. Now, NIRF ranking has realized this.”
MCPS principal Dr. C. Mallikarjuna Rao said that the institution had this time achieved 6.67 more points.
