Bantwal : Valuables worth several lakhs of rupees were stolen from a house at Netrakere in Vittal Kasaba village. The theft came to light when the owner of the house K Ravindra Kamath who is the  manager of Ganesh Beedies in Puttur, arrived on Monday night.

It is not known when the theft took place The thieves who entered the house  after removing roof tiles had broken three cupboards and stolen a  Rado watch and  cash of Rs45000.

There is also a suspicion that they might have stolen jewels. It may come to light when the  women in the house return, said Kamath.

The family members had been to relatives house  a few days ago.,
