Mangalore: Except for Mizoram a land of hill trebles in NEFA where Congress secured 22 out of 40 seats in the assembly in the new election, elsewhere in 4 States, namely Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh BJP had a colossal victory to their credit in last week’s elections the results of which were announced during the local Shashti festival in D.K, on Sunday December 8.
The victories BJP romped home with an 80% win in Rajasthan, and around 75% win in Madhya Pradesh (165/230 seats), apart from Delhi State (32/70 around 45%), and Chhattisgarh (49/90 seats, or around 55% votes).
This signified a massive victory for a Party that was largely Hindu and not accepting the minority Muslim or Christian voters since a long time.
The D.K Yuva Morcha of BJP took out Victory processions in and around Mangalore in D.K district and Udupi to show their Happiness at the unexpected turn of events, which brought them back to power in 4/5 states. BJP adult leader like N. Yogish Bhatt, Shrikar Prabhu, and lawyer Raghavendra Rao among others joined the youth leaders in celebrating a great victory for BJP given by voters to run a responsible Govt. in those 4 States.
In Mizoram, the BJP had drawn a blank (zero). Sweets and flowers were distributed by the Yuva Morcha youths of BJP during their procession conducted at the Pompwell in city and other places in D.K district to acknowledge their gratitude to the common people of India who voted them to power again.
Speakers at the victory rallies shouted slogans and stated that the result on Sunday was a forerunner of making BJP once again the ruling party at the center in early 2014, with Narendra Modi as the likely candidate for PM’s post in the Lok Sabha.
