Mangalore :   Police who are investigating into the case of murder of Mamatha Shetty, Assistant Professor in SDM Law College, Mangalore, have produced Gangadhar Padubidri, the husband of the deceased and an accused in the case, before the II JMFC Court on Tuesday. He was remanded to judicial custody till July 30.

It may be mentioned here that Mamatha Shetty and Gangadhar, a reporter with Door Darshan were married three years ago. But there were differences between the couple and on Monday, Mamatha is learnt to have questioned his fidelity when he in a fit of anger strangulated her with a shawl. Police found Mamatha’s body lying on the floor of the dining room of their house at Kodikal. Gangadhar who was in another room later admitted his guilt.
