Udupi:  The DCIB police have arrested one Raghavendra Kanchan (27) hailing from Bailakere in Udupi on the charges of making an attempt on the life of  notorious rowdy Pitti Nagesh and his friend while they were travelling in an autorickshaw near the Indrali Railway Station in Udupi earlier this year.

Kanchan was arrested near Balaipade Udyavar and was found possessing a gun without a valid license. Interrogations revealed that he was searching for a buyer for the gun.  It may be recalled here that of the four persons accused in Pitti Nagesh attack case, three had already been arrested, while Kanchan was absconding all this while.
