Mangaluru : The Police have arrested a person for allegedly sexually harassing a 5-year-old girl in the Konaje Police station limits on Sunday.

The accused is identified as Arif Pasha (30)hailing from Kalasipalya, Bengaluru.

He works as a daily wager. The incident was reported near Natekal.

The accused lured the child to the isolated area under pretext of giving her meat. But the girl ran out of fear from the place and cried for help.

One of the passersby heard the girl crying for help and they questioned her. The girl then narrated her ordeal. The couple then caught the accused with the help of locals and handed him over to police.
