Mangaluru: The Pandeshwar police arrested a man for allegedly stealing a bike and gold from a house at Pandeshwar. The bike and 119 grams gold worth Rs 3.15 lakh was seized.

The accused was identified as Chandrashekhar (21), originally from Gadag and residing at a rented house near Kadri park. It is said that the theft took place on February 13, 2016.

The police seized a mangalasutra, three finger rings, a gold bowl, a gold spoon and two bracelets.

The police received a tip off that the accused was Hampanakatta and arrested him from there. It is said that Chandrashekhar began working in Bengaluru after the theft.
