Udupi: A 32-year-old man found hanging in room of a lodge on Thursday at Kadiyali, Udupi.

The deceased has been identified as Ismail Hanifsab Mitayigara of Mundagod. He came to the lodge on August 29.

He was not seen by anyone since then. A foul odour dragged attention of the people and police was informed it. Hotel staff opened the door in the presence of police.

When police went inside the room he was found hanging from a bed sheet to the roof of the room.

Debts are suspected to be the reason behind taking this extreme step, but fact is yet to be verified.
