Mangaluru : A 40-year-old man from Anekal, near Bengaluru, died and four of his family members were injured after the four-wheeler by which they were travelling to Mangaluru collided with a KSRTC bus near Nelyadi in Uppinangady police station limits on Sunday.

According to Uppinangady police, Ashok (40) and his family were on their way to Mangaluru to meet a relative studying in a college in the city. At Kolpe near Nelyadi, their vehicle collided with the Mangaluru-Bengaluru KSRTC bus. The police said that the bus hit the four-wheeler while overtaking another vehicle.

The police said that Ashok died on the spot. The injured persons, including Muniyamma (55), were admitted to private hospitals.
