Mangaluru: A man was nabbed by the airport immigration officers on Tuesday, for possessing 26 passports at Mangauru International Airport.

The arrested person has been identified as Abdulla Pallakkan. He was possessing 26 passports of other citizens and he was bound to Dubai.

None of the passports had authorisation letter and two passports were of United States.

He was just to aboard flight number 9W 532 to Dubai from Mangaluru and during the security check, all the 26 passports were found which was being transported illegally. 24 passports were Indian and 2 were American passports. It is found that two American passports had name of Arkal Manzoor and Manzoor Shooja.

According to the passport act 1967, the passport should be carried by the passport holder and any other person who has authorisation letter to carry the passport. It is not allowed to send through post also.

Accused has been handed over to the Bajpe police and police are inquiring the case.
