Mangalore : On the occasion of Dasara Celebration, Goddess Mangaladevi, was seated in chariot during the car festival of the temple, held on October 17, Sunday.

This car festival is being held as a part of traditions and customs that remained since from many years, is held on the Vijaya Dashami Day every year.
Various rituals were performed in Mangaladevi temple all the nine days of Navaratri festival. On the eighth day, the Goddess takes the form of ‘Sharada’, while on the ninth day; she is presented as ‘Marikamba’.

Large number of devotees pulled the chariot, in which the Goddess is seated. Various tableaux accompanied the procession. With the car festival, the Navaratri celebrations at the temple came to an end.
