Mangalore : Mangalore’s tallest skyscraper ‘Planet Sks’ with a mega eco-housing project of Rs 150 crore which ensure to change the sky line of Mangalore will be launched on 4.25 acres of green environs off NH 17 near Kadri Park in city on December 15, Wednesday at 4.30 pm.
Speaking at the press meet held at Hotel Ocean Pearl, Mr Shashikanth Shetty, chairman and Mangaing Director of SKS Netgate Pvt Ltd, the promoters, the project will be developed as per eco-friendly standards set out by Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). The sky scraper will adhere to the Silver Rating guidelines of IGBC, the first rating programme developed in India exclusively for the residential sector. Eighty nine percent open spaces is the proud contribution of ‘Planet sks’ to conservation.
He also said that the 375 feet tall distinctive three-wing designer structure, once completed, will comprise as many as 184 three to four bedroom units with 412 covered car parks for the residents and 30 for the visitors. In a refreshing approach ‘planet sks’ devotes nearly 38,000Sq.ft toward club house, health club, gymnasium and spa. Among the project’s many exclusive, ‘planet sks’ will feature a roof helipad in Mangalore.
Project Director’s mothers Susheela Shetty, Leelavati Hegde and Vimala Shetty will launch the project and Sri Rama Vidya Kendra Convenor Dr K Prabhakar Bhat will light the lamp.
Chief guests like Intelenet Global Services CEO and MD Susir Hegde, Dr K Prabhakar Bhat, convener, Sri Rama Vidya Kendra, Kalladka, District in charge minister Krishna J Palemar, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Yogesh Bhat, MLA U T Khader, Alok Mohan, IGP Western Range, DC Subodh Yadva, Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh and other dignitaries will launch the various features of the ‘Planet sks’, he said.
The building will be self- sufficient in every way possible without straining the infrastructure of the city.
Reduction, reuse and recycling of waste will be implemented as feature of the routine. It is not just the tallest building but it will be built with passion. No chemical hardening will be used for the fast construction. Earlier we have built a building comprising of 32 floor in Bangalore, he informed.
Project directors like Sanath Kumar Shetty, Adarsh Hegde and B S Raghuram, civil engineer was present at the press meet.
