Melbourne : Shilpa Hegde  from Mangalore who is now a citizen of Australia  is a Liberal Party candidate for  the Electorate of Wills, Australia Federal Elections 2013.

Shilpa Hegde who was born in Mangalore had immigrated to Australia in 2001. She did her engineering from the NMAMIT at Nitte and is presently working as IT consultant for DWS, a renowned company.
Shilpa is also engaged in social service works and is settled in Melbourne with her husband and two sons.

The constituency of Wills covers 57 square kms and includes the suburbs of Brunswick, Coburg, Strathmore, Pascoe Vale and Fawkner.
