Mangalore : Bishop of Mangalore Diocese Dr. Aloysius Paul D’Souza, laid the foundation stone of the first of the 160 houses being constructed for the poor by the Mangalore Diocese, at Batrakodi in Kelrai on July 24, Sunday.
The construction of these houses is a part of centenary silver jubilee of the diocese.
The diocese will give the houses for the beneficiary like Diana D’Souza, who lost her husband two months back, and her two children Joyston (3) and Joshwa (7). The diocese is collaborating with St. Anne Church in Kelrai to construct the house for Diana.
Vicar General Msgr Denis Moras, Parish Priest Fr. John Vas, Jubilee Committee Secretary Sushil Noronha, CODP Director Fr. Onil D’Souza and William D’Souza, one of the partners of Souza Group were also present.
