Mangalore : Mangalore Diocese urged the London police to investigate Mangalorean nurse Jacintha Saldahna’s death who took prank call about Prince William’s wife Kate on December 8, Friday.
Speaking at the press meet held at Bishop House on Dec 10, Monday, Ivan D’Souza said that the the diocese also urged the king to hand over her dead body to her family.
He also said that Jacintha Saldanha, 46, was found dead after the prank call by two Australian DJs posed as the Queen and Prince of Wales was not a person who could have committed suicide.
The London police had called her husband Benedict Barboza about her suicide after finding her body on the next day. This leads to suspicion among the family members of Jacintha and every Indian. The London police must investigate the case and the elements that lead to her death.
Msgr. Denis Moras Prabhu Vicar General of Diocese of Mangalore said that the Mangalore Diocese has urged Foreign Affairs Minister Khurshid Alam Khan, Petroleum Minister M Veerappa Moily, former minister Oscar Fernandes to take action again into the investigation of the death.
He said that according to the family, the London police have not even allowed her husband to make a telephonic call and not even showed the dead body of Jacintha to her husband and children. This is the ignorance of England government against India and the Indian government must immediately take action against them.
