Mangalore : Mangalore Institute of Oncology  will be inaugurated at  Pumpwell in Mangalore  on  November 18.

Informing this to reporters here, Dr Suresh Rao,  Director of the Hospital. Said the hospital is founded by seven renowned oncologists of Mangalore with the intention of providing the best of cancer care facilities in Mangalore.

He also pointed out thst the absence of an exclusive oncology hospital in Mangalore had  made it inevitable for  people here to rely on hospitals in Bangalore, Mumbai and other cities. He said the hospital is equipped with rapid arc treatment facility, and is the second hospital in India to have this facility.

It even aims at creating awareness about cancer among people.

Dr Krishnaprasad, Medical Oncologist, Dr Sanath Hegde, Radiation Oncologist, Dr Naveen were also present.
