Mangalore South MLA JR Lobo, on June 13, Thursday visited the residence of Maria Cutinha of Bajjodi which suffered extensive damage due to the collapse of the retaining wall of a neighbour recently.
The house owner Maria submitted a memorandum to the MLA on this occasion seeking help. Responding, Lobo said as it was not a natural calamity it was difficult to avail compensation from the government.
On this occasion, Lobo also visited a neighbouring house of Leena Pinto. It was the retention wall constructed by Leena Pinto that had collapsed. He however assured compensation to Maria Cutinha of compensation from MCC.
Speaking with regard to rising Dengue cases he said the authorities were taking all possible measures to check the spread of Dengue.
