Mangalore: The Mangalore Regional Officer of the Indian Overseas Bank celebrated its golden jubilee on April 22, Monday. The refurbished Hampankatta Branch of the Bank was also inaugurated on the occasion by Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt.
Speaking on the occasion, Bank Chairman Dr M Narendra said the Bank aimed at opening 3000 branches by June 2013. He further said it has opened 1000 branches in 2012-2013.
Some regular customers of the Bank were honoured on the occasion. AJ Shetty, Chairman of AJ Group of Institutions, Raghavendra Shastri, Managing Trustee of Sharavu Mahaganapathy Temple, Dr M Narendra, Chairman and Managing Director, IOB, K Anil, Senior Regional Manager, IOB and others were present on the occasion.
