Mangalore : DM Aslam, former JD(S) leader who was recentlysuspended from the party on the charges of anti-party activities has said that the Mangalore South candidate of JD(S) SP Changappa was not a member of the JD(S). Speaking to reporters here, he said the JD(S) was sure to lose votes of the minority community this time.
Aslam further said now his aim was to defeat former minister Amarnath Shetty who is contesting from the JD(S) from Mulki-Moodbidri constituency.
He said the party’s state chief HD Kumaraswamy has confirmed the suspension of him and Shashiraj Shetty Kolambe from the primary membership of the party and that they have received a letter.
He claimed himself to be a sincere party worker and alleged that Amarnath Shetty had threatened to quit if the party gave B form to him (Aslam).
