Mangalore : Rithesh Shetty, Vice President of Zilla Panchayat inaugurated the Mangalore taluk level Dasara Sports Meet at Mangala Stadium on September 2, Monday.

The meet has been jointly organized by the Zilla Panchayat, Department of Youth Services and Sports and Taluk Panchayat.

Speaking on the occasion, Rithesh Shetty said that there is necessity to encourage the youths to bring out their talent in sports. He also urged the participants to play and compete with dedication and sportsman spirit.

Taluk Panchayat president Harish Kumar presided over the function.

Zilla Panchayat Members Asha R Suvarna, Yashwanthi R Alva and Corporator Jayanthi R were also present.
