Mangalore: Confusion prevailed at the Taluk Panchayat meet on November 27, Tuesday to elect the standing committee presidents.

Initially the Congress member stayed away from the meet on the grounds tha the TP Chef had not arrived and that the meeting did not commence on time, they were somewho convinced by MLA Krishna Palemar and TP Chief Harish  to attend the meeting.

Once the meeting commenced, there was another confusion over themode of election, while many wanted a unanimous election. Finally the standing committee presidents were elected by members by raising hands in support.

The following were elected to the Standing Committees :  Standing Committee Members President – Vajrakshi Shetty ; Members – Ramesh Shetty, Savithri, Raju Kunder, Suresh Chawta, Musthaffa.
 General Standing Committee : President – Rajeevi Kempumannu ; Members – Yogish, Vanitha, Dhanyavathi, Laveena

 Financial Audits Standing Committee : President – Ramesh Poojary,  Members – Vijayalaxmi Devaki, Surekha.
