Mangalore : Lokayukta police led by its SP Mohandas Pai, have caught red handed Dr Anitha Ravishanker, Associate Professor in Sociology of Mangalore University on December 4, Tuesday. The Professor was caught while she was accepting a bribe from a research student.

According to reports Dr Anitha Ravishankar had demanded Rs 5000 from Pema, while assigning her a project. The student had informed the Lokayukta. She was provided with a voice recorder and the Professor was arrested with evidence while she was accepting the cash.

The arrested Dr Anitha Ravishanker has been produced before the Sessions Court.

Lokayukta sleuths including Vittaldas Pai, DySP, Umesh Shet, inspector and others took part in the operation.
