Abu Dhabi :  Prashanth Pinto (38) who hailed from Mangalore and worked in Abu Dhabi met a tragic end in a road mishap on November 17. It is suspected that he died in a hit and run case.

Pinto hailed from Derebail parish in Mangalore and is survived by his wife, son, parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Prakash lived alone in his flat at Mussafah area of Abu Dhabi and was missing since Saturday evening.  It is suspected that he was killed in a hit and run case close by his flat while he had been on his usual evening walk.

His body was later identified in the hospital morgue by his brother. It is learnt, Prakash was run over by the vehicle driven by an UAE national. The driver has been arrested and the vehicle seized.
