Mangaluru : The annual six-day Car festival of Venkatramana temple concluded with the festival of colours Okuli on January 27, Tuesday.

Hundreds of people, men and women, both young and old joined the festivities and sprayed coloured water at each other. They sang, they danced to the tunes of loud music and there was fun and frolic everywhere.

The devotees thronged in to seek blessings of Lord Venkatramana and Goddess Padmavathi. People were seen exchanging hugs and sweets to mark the celebration.

Mangaluru Car Festival (Kodial Teru) is one of the major festivals of the Gaud Saraswat Brahmin (GSB) community.
