Mangaluru : The Mangaluru Dasara celebrations of Kudroli Shree Gokarnanatha Temple will be held from October 7 to 16 by adhering to all Covid related guidelines like last year, informed H S Sairam, Chairman of the Temple Committee.

Temple Development Committee Member Harikrishna Bantwal said the Dasara will be held with the theme “Namma Dasara Namma Surakshe.” All events including religious and cultural programmes will be held except the procession on the final day, he said.

He said the festivities will begin on October 7 and the idols of Navadurgas and Goddess Sharada will be installed at 11.40 am. On October 15, following Mahapooja and a simple procession within the temple precincts, the festivities will conclude with the immersion of the idols.

He said MCC which has decided to illuminate the different roads of Mangaluru on account of Dasara.

Temple Committee Vice President Urmila Ramesh, Secretary Madhav Suvarna and other members were present.
