Mangaluru : A resident of the Manasa Rehabilitation and Training Centre for Special Children at Pamboor village in Udupi district is participating in the Special Olympics to be held in the United States from July 21 to August 5.
Wilma Pereira (19), from Mansa Rehabilitation and Training Centre, has found a place in the Indian handball team and will be participating in the Special Olympics in the United States of America.
She will be leaving for Los Angeles in the U.S. from Chennai International Airport on July 20 with other members of the Indian team. She has taken training in handball in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Chennai. Ms. Pereira is the daughter of Lawrence and Jacintha Pereira from Mangaluru.
