Mangaluru: Various organisations held Mosaru Kudike to celebrate the birthday of Lord Krishna. Attavar, Kadri, Urwa people enthusiastically participated in Mosaru Kudike celebrations on Monday September 3.
A day after celebrating the birthday of Lord Krishna on Monday night, Mangalureans flooded the streets on Monday afternoon celebrating Mosaru Kudike and other cultural programmes in different parts of the city.
The 109th Mosaru Kudike was celebrated by Sarvajanika Sri Krishna Jayantutsava Samiti at Attavar Mundattaya Daivasthana, Attavar. Grand procession was taken along with tableaux and other entertaining elements. Musical night and other events were also held.
It was also observed near Kadri temple, where thousands of people participated and celebrated Krishna Janmashtami in a joyful manner. Mosaru Kudike competitions were the centre of attraction.
The procession started from the Gopalakrishna Temple, Kadri Kambala and moved on main roads to reach the Kadri Manjunatha Temple.
At Urwa Shree Krishna Janmothsava Samiti organised Mosaru Kudike, Bhajans at Urwa ground. Bajilakeri Sri Hanuman Temple, Carstrret also observed Mosaru Kudike celebrations.
