Mangaluru: Mangaluru observed Mosaru Kudike at many places in the city on Thursday. Various organisations held Mosaru Kudike to celebrate the birthday of Lord Krishna. Kadri, Attavae, Urwa, Thokkottu, and Asaigoly people enthusiastically participated in Mosaru Kudike celebrations.

A day after celebrating the birthday of Lord Krishna on Wednesday night, Mangalureans flooded the streets on Thursday afternoon celebrating Mosaru Kudike and other cultural programmes in different parts of the city.

The 108th Mosaru Kudike was celebrated at Attavar Mundattaya Daivasthana, Attavar. Grand procession was taken along with tableaux and other entertaining elements. Musical night and other events were also held.

It was also observed near Kadri temple, where thousands of people participated and celebrated Krishna Janmashtami in a joyful manner. Mosaru Kudike competitions were the centre of attraction.

The procession started from the Gopalakrishna Temple, Kadri Kambala and moved on main roads to reach the Kadri Manjunatha Temple.

At Urwa Shree Krishna Janmothsava Samiti organised Mosaru Kudike, Bhajans at Urwa ground.
