Mangaluru: “Mangaluru south assembly constituency BJP members have orgainsed religious programmes at Kadri Temple premises on October 28 and 29,” said Mangaluru South Assembly Constituency President Vedavyas Kamath.
In a press release, he said that BJP objects the move of Ivan D’Souza and some other Congress people’s plan to conduct Deepavali celebrations at Kadri temple premises.
“To play the political game Congress has chosen the temple. Politics is not allowed in the temple and Congress men’s decision has hurt the feelings of Hindu community. There is a cold war going on between Janardhana Poojary and Ivan D’Souza. To have the upper hand over Poojary, Ivan had chosen temple to organise an equivalent programme to the Kudroli temple,” he said.
He further said that previously Ivan had stopped CM Siddaramaiah from attending the Mangaluru Dasara and now he is hurting Hindu’s religious feelings by choosing Kadri temple for his political intentions. BJP condemns the move of Ivan and objects it.
“Ivan has decided to celebrate Deepavali in temple premises without taking any prior permission from the temple authorities. BJP is objecting for the celebration, we will be happy if the programme is organised in open ground or any public hall,” he added.
