Mangaluru: Two school students from Mangaluru city have won gold medals in the 13th national level ice skating championship held recently in New Delhi.

Under 15 male age group Niranjan Rajeev whereas under 13 female age group Ashel D’ Silva won the medals and have been selected for the national ice skating team.

Niranjan Rajeev is an 8th standard student of Bejai Lourdes Central School whereas Ashel D’ Silva is a 7th standard student of Cambridge school in Mangaluru.

Meanwhile, Ashwin D’ Silva, elder brother of Ashel D’ Silva will represent India in the World Junior Short Track Speed Skating Championship scheduled to be held by the end of this month in Austria.
