Mangaluru : Syed Mohammed Naushad, Ahmed Bava Abubakker and Shabbir Bhatkal, were arrested in connection with the seizure of explosives at Mukkachery, Ullal in 2008 were.produced in the court in third additional sessions court here on Thursday August 6.

Naushad and Abubakker among the three were brought to the city by Mumbai police, under tight security. while Shabbir Bhatkal is lodged in Mangaluru district jail. Javed Ali, Mohammed Ali, Mohammed Rafiq and Fakir Ahmed – are out on bail.
Only seven persons out of the thirteen accused in the case are arrested so far, and five are absconding and one other.

Seven person including Two from Ullal and four from Mangaluru, were arrested, by the police in 2008 after raided a house at Mukkachery in Ullal and found explosives. and were booked for under the Anti-terror acts and for illegal possession of arms.. It was during this period the police received information about terrorist activities in Mangaluru and around, and had also found about Indian Mujahideen co-founder and other suspected terrorists’ activities in the city.
