Mangaluru: The last date for enrolment for Manipal Arogya Card 2016 has been extended till August 20, on the request of public, said Medical Superintendant of KMC Hospital Dr Anand Venugopal.
Speaking to the media persons at Mangaluru Press Club on Friday he said that it is a nongovernmental, non insurance health care scheme in India provided by KMC Hospital.
“The enrolment for the card has begun on May 3 and it was supposed to be closed on July 31. But because of the request from the public we have extended the closing date to August 20. For the applicants who have applied before July 13 can avail the benefits from August 1. And those who will apply in the extended period can avail the benefits from August 25 onwards,” he said.
He further said that last year 1.50 lakh people have enrolled for the Arogya Card. The card holder can avail the respected benefits in any of the KMC Hospitals at Mangaluru, Udupi, Karkala and Manipal.
Deputy Manager of KMC Attavar Jayaram, Asst Managaer Rakesh and others were present.
