Udupi :  Manipal police, acting on a tip off, raided a place near the Mannappalla lake at Shivalli in Manipal on February 21, Thursday and arrested three persons who   were selling drugs. The arrested persons are from Sagar taluk in Shimoga and are identified as Appanna, Dharmappa and Govinda Swami.

Police have seized ganja weighing 2.3 kg and worth Rs 70,000. A Chevrolet Tavera car  and a cash of Rs 2000., all worth Rs 7.76 lakh ave been seized.

The operation was conducted under the guidance of Udupi SP Dr Boralingaiah and ASI Prabhudeva. Those who took part in the operation include Manipal inspector Sadananda AT,  SI Ravikumar and other police constables.
