Udupi  :  One of the accused in the Manipal gang rape case Anand, who had attempted suicide by hanging himself to a tree for fear of arrest,  has been discharged from hospital  on June 30 and the Manipal police took him to custody.

Anand is expected to be produced before court on July 1, Monday.

 Hariprasad, yet another accused is already in police custody while another accused Yogish who is undergoing treatment in hospital after he consumed poison, is recovering.
