Mangalore : The court has extended the judicial custody period of all the five accused in the Manipal gang rape case till August 26. The five were produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on August 12 Monday.
Those produced before the court were the three main acused Yogish Hariprasad and Anand and Harindra and Balachandra who were arrested for destroying evidences.
Though the last two had applied for bail, the court rejected after the prosecutor argued that there was chances of them destroying more evidences.
As earlier, the three main accused were sent to the Shimoga Prison while the other two are lodged in Hiriadka prison.
