Udupi : The CCTV footages of the night when the fourth year MBBS student of Manipal University was kidnapped by three auto bound miscreants, from the campus of the University when she was on way home from the library, has been released by the police. But the number plate of the autorickshaw is not visible.
Releasing the CCTV footage on June 25, Tuesday, Western Range IGP Pratap Reddy said a cash reward of Rs 2 lakh would be given to anyone passing on any information regarding the culprits. He also assured that the identity of the informers will not be divulged.
The sketch of one of the suspects prepared as per the description made by the victim, was released by the police on Monday. So far police have interrogated 30 people on the basis of the sketch but could not make much headway.
