Udupi: The renovated Anatomy and Pathology museum of the Manipal University is attracting a large number of people.
The museum first started in 1960 thanks to the initiative of Dr SS Godole, noted anatomist. The museum is considered one of the biggest anatomy museum of India, says Dr Antony D Silva, Head of the KMC Anatomy Division.
The museum is of great benefit to students and is also visited by a large number of locals including tourists. The renovated museum is expected to attract more number of tourists.
The renovated museum was recently inaugurated by Nobel Award winning Dr RK Pachauri. Even Justice MN Venkatachalaiah, former chief justice, was present on the occasion.
Excluding national holidays, the Anatomy museum is open for put public from 8 am to 6 pm on all days of the week. Entry fee is Rs 5 for children and Rs 10 for adults.
