Udupi: One of the three accused in the Manipal gang rape case, Anand has been produced before the Chief Magisterial Court on July 5. His police custody period has ended and the court has remanded him to judicial custody till July 15

The court has also directed that he be shifted to Shimoga prison as there is a fear that he may be attacked. Another accused Hariprasad has already been shifted to Shimoga jail.

The prime accused Yogish who is in hospital as he has attempted suicide before this arrest, is recovering in hospital.
