Manjeshwar: Manjeshwar GP, which was a part of DK prior to 1956, and now in Kerala across the Karnataka borders by rail and road, has been crowned as the first E-payment GP in taxes settlement, birth and death registrations, and Panchayat works under progress depicted on a computer screen, in a Website marked “www.tax.Isg Kerala. Government in”  by click, on the internet.

The Manjeshwar gram Panchayat accepts tax payments from local residents by internet clicking. It is the first such GP all over India, and reaches whole world.

Kerala CM(Congress)Oommen Chandy inaugurated the internet process at the Kasaragod DCO in a simple ceremony on Monday. The tax payments are in force, and people can make payments online. Those persons from Majeshwar GP limits can make such(tax) payments from any part of the world.

Manjeshwar has the reputation of being the first ‘on-line’ GP in Kerala, and India as well.

Making E-payment is the second feather in its cap, and reaches out abroad for tax settlements.

In near future, all panchayats in Kasaragod district will have internet connections, and the Income and Expenses accounts of GPs will be shown to all in a transparent way.

The birth death certificates also can be obtained by internet ways, likewise.

The state has provided all GPs new computers with internet facilities All details are flashed, if a House number is given.
