The new port allows anchoring of 300 boats and it is spread in 16 hectare land. Southern part of the port will have a 530 meter length jetty and northern part will have 490 meter. Space for auctioning of the fish also has been provided. Five thousand cubic meter sand has been shifted to construct transport channel, road, office building, net sewing centre, canteen, shopping complex, drinking water, wash rooms, compound wall and parking lot.
It is estimated that nearly 4000 people will be employed directly or indirectly due to the construction of new port.
