Manjeshwar: Three people were killed after being hit by a train’s engine while crossing the railway line at Manjeshwar. The incident took place on Wednesday at Manjeshwar railway station.

According to the eyewitnesses, Amina (50), her sister Ayisha (40) and Ayisha’s four-year-old son were crossing the railway track after a train heading towards Mangaluru passed by them while a train heading towards Kasargod side hit them down.

The accident took place after the Chennai-Mangalore express passed through the railway. The three failed to notice the train’s engine which came in another track. They were killed after being hit by the engine.
