Udupi: Vishwasada Mane(House of Utter belief) of Shankerpura has a pastor Sunil D’Souza who is capable of rehabilitating persons who lose hope in life due to some unkind incidents. He analyses the situation and the sufferer, treats the person with care and direct attention of a small group of volunteers, helping the person to Come out of his sorrow.
In just 4 months, Sunil worked wonders with a lonely vagabond in a miserable state, neglected by his family, friends and public, but found a new lease of life.
Manjunath Kulal was in Nittor in September 2011 like a wretched person, with a nomadic look, beard and unwashed hair, mumbling nonsensical words, ill-treated by public.
But on Monday, January 23, when he made an appearance at a press meet, those who had seen him as a semi-mad man were pleasantly surprised, as he was well-groomed, all smiles, and in good health. Kulal was rescued by pastor Sunil’s House of Faith, when he was shunned by his own society. Earlier he was in depression but he has a wife and 5 children whom he would meet on January 24, to bring back love in his life that he lost when his mother died in 2000.
The Home of Belief is his new workplace, and it had rescued 100 such destitutes.
