Mangalore : The Manjushree Jewellers at Bendorewell in Mangalore has been burgled by thieves on the night of December 9, Sunday.
The thieves made their way into the shop by drilling a hole in the rear wall of the shop and have left with silver articles weighing 4.9 kg and gold ornaments weighing 21 grams. Even jewellery worth Rs 1800 kept for repair has been stolen.
The theft came to light when the owner Manjunath Shet opened the shop. He found the shop ransacked.Police suspect the hands of at least two to three people.
Kadri police are conducting investigations.
