Kollur: The website of Maranakatte Sri Brahmalingeshwara Temple was launched by District Minister Kota Srinivas Poojari on October 26, Friday. In his address, the minister said a sum of Rs one crore would be granted to selected 25 temples for their development on behalf of the religious and endowment department. He also said authorities have been directed to ensure cleanliness and transparency in the functioning of temples.

He also said Harikatha programmes would be organized in temples which are in sound financial position. There are also plans to organize bhajans , keerthan camp for children during holidays.

A book on the history of the temple was released by Byndoor MLA K Lakshminarayana. Seetaram Shetty, Managing Trustee, presided over the function. ZP member Indira Shetty, Chittur GP chief Surendra Shetty, Dr Atul Kumar Shetty, and others were present on the occasion.
