Mangaluru: Professor Vivek Rai released ‘marching towards dream realisation’ book, which has been published to mark completion of two years as MLC of Chief Whip Ivan D’Souza, on Friday at St Antony Ashram premises.
The programme was inaugurated by Mangalore Diocese Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza. In his inaugural speech he said that Ivan D’Souza has done lot of things to the poor and needy. He has strived hard to get aid for the medical treatment of poor people.
“Total amount claimed by MLC from CM’s relief fund is Rs 3.1 crore. Very few politicians are present who cares poor and needy people. Ivan is one among them. It is very good to hear and see that all the good works of Ivan has been published in a book. It becomes easier to educate people about the good deeds done by him, by publishing a book,” he said.
After releasing the book Prof Vivek Rai said that it is very rare to find anyone who dreams big. Politicians should dream about the betterment of this country, then only then only they can develop this country.
“I advice Ivan, to walk on rough road instead, of walking on smooth, because rough road gives us the experience of needy people. We can understand the feelings of poor when we stay with them and walk with them,” he said.
