Puttur : A woman has committed suicide by hanging herself at her house at Darandakukku on December 2, Thursday.

The deceased is Ashika (20), wife of Bhasker Prabhu who works in Kamath Sweets of Puttur.

Ashika has left behind her husband and a seven month old baby.

It is learnt, Ashika was suffering from a health problem since childhood and was undergoing treatment for the same even after her marriage. The reason behind her suicide is not known.

A case has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station.
