Mangalore : In a shocking incident reported from Ombattukere near Ullal, three masked men who barged into a house  locked up the elderly woman in the hose and escaped with her jewellery.

The incident took place on November 19, Monday evening when Sharada (60) was sitting on the verandah along with her mentally ill son. The three masked men who arrived forced her in and wielded weapons and snatched her gold ornaments weighing 2.5 sovereigns before  escaping.

Sharada in her complaint said the assailants were young and speaking Tulu, She has suffered minor injuries on her face and arms.

Ullal police are conducting investigations.
