Mangalore: The home town of local MP, Kateelu was jam packed with people and vehicles, devotees and way farers, consequent upon a mass marriage ceremony on Sunday of couples and relatives assembling to unite as many as 52 pairs. The day was busy as it was a holiday. Those who were passing through as regular devotees were put to a lot of inconvenience.
There were no proper parking arrangements for excess vehicle at the Temple standing 4th among temples in state for its incomes.
On April 25, 70 mass marriages had taken place, but it was a working day and visitors on road were few. The road in front of the temple has not been widened.
Many vehicle owners park their cars and motorbikes at Bus Stand. There should be no parking of vehicles at Car Street.
Vehicle should not be allowed between Bus Stand and Nandini Bridge. Those who park vehicles carelessly should be taken to task. Bajpe airport is close to Kateel Temple road and regular vehicles (taxis or vans) ply here.
Those who go to Bajpe should not take the road to the temple.
