Mangalore : ‘Jammu and Kashmir Ulisi Horata Samiti’ held a massive protest in front of the DC office, Mangalore on July 9, Monday demanding to reject the report submitted by 3 members committee over the Jammu & Kashmir issue.
Addressing the protestors, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said that the interlocutors report is a bundle of contradictions and a part of the international conspiracy to separate Jammu-Kashmir from the rest of nation. Any kind of debate is not possible on this anti-national document. This report should be rejected in its totality and it is absolutely necessary to directly challenge this trend.
Stating that the bill if accepted, country will be divided and paves way to destruction, the committee submitted a memorandum to President of India through DC Channappa Gowda.
Sharan Pumpwell, Convenor of Bajarangadal, said that the 3 members committee report recommended for free transportation and business in border area in order to better the relation between Pakistan and India, especially the independent Kashmir, Pakistan and China. But the ‘Jammu and Kashmir Ulisi Horata Samiti’ opposes it completing saying that it is unscientific and with this Pakistan occupied Kashmir gets legal importance.
Horata samithi also opposes the recommendation of reduction in the appointment of central government for IAS and IPS and give way to increase in the number of appoint from state as every state in the country has 66% of officials from kendriya lokaseva ayoga and J&K has 50% and if even that is reduced India will lose control over J&K.
Suvrath Kumar, Citizens council of Mangalore, Ramesh, MUDA Chief, Sudhakar Joshi, Jagadish were present on the dais.
